This afternoon, March 23rd, the Attorney General´s Office of the Republic of Cuba and the Supreme People´s Court of the People´s Republic of China signed a program for bilateral cooperation, which will allow the strengthening of the longstanding friendly ties existing between both nations.
The program will also promote the exchange of expertise and knowledge based on the organization of visits, courses, seminars and other forms of academic training which may include mutual legal assistance, professional staff exchange program for their training and research actions.
Likewise, the agreement will promote mutual friendship and the attorney´s performance in accordance with the legislations existing in their respective countries, under the principles of International Law, and on the basis of equity, confidence and joint work.
This program is an acknowledgement to the significance of strengthening international cooperation in the fight against crime, based on the agreement on legal assistance signed by the two countries in 2015.
